Some days ago, the West African Examination Council announced that the results for the examinations held this year are now out and can be checked by candidates who wrote the exams.

According to the Head of the Nigerian National Office – Patrick Areghan, 1,222,505 candidates, which represents 76.36% of the 1,601,047 candidates who sat for the WAEC examinations, got credits or higher in a minimum of five courses, including Mathematics and English.

According to Areghan, the results of 1,437,629 candidates have been fully compiled and released, accounting for 89.79% of candidates who wrote the examinations, while 163,418 other candidates, accounting for 10.21%, have some of their subjects still under review due to some factors.

The first method I’ll explain will be how to check your WAEC result using SMS, then I’ll also show you how to check your WAEC result online using WAEC’s official website, and lastly, I’ll show you how to check your WAEC result using a WAEC Serial number.

1. How To Check WAEC Result 2022: Using SMS

Checking your WAEC result using SMS is the easiest method to check your WAEC result. You only need a mobile phone with at least 30 Naira airtime. You’ll also need your WAEC Examination Number and your Pin. You must buy a WAEC Direct scratch card to get the pin. On the scratch card, you will see a pin, and that’s what you’ll enter in the place you’ll be asked to input your pin.

To check your 2022 WAEC result using SMS, use the steps provided below:

  1. Load at least 30 Naira airtime on your mobile phone
  2. Go to “Messages” on your mobile phone
  3. Type WAEC*Exam Number*PIN*ExamYear
  4. Send it to 32327
  5. Within a minute, you should get an SMS containing your WAEC statement of result.

Note: It doesn’t matter what network you’re using. You can use MTN, GLO, Airtel and 9mobile to check your WAEC result using this method. But, some networks get the SMS faster than others, depending on your area.

  1. Login to WAEC official result checker portal here – WAECDIRECT ONLINE – RESULT CHECKER.
  2. Input your WAEC Examination Number in the box provided.
  3. Select your “Examination Type.”
  4. Select your “Examination Year.”
  5. Input your Pin and Serial Number. You must buy a WAEC Direct scratch card to get the pin. On the scratch card, you will see a pin, and that’s what you’ll enter.
  6. Click on “Submit” to check your result.

3. How To Check WAEC Result 2022: WAEC Branch Office

The last method I’ll be showing you guys is how you can check your 2022 WAEC result by going to WAEC office. In your state, there should be at least two WAEC offices, you can easily go to any of these offices with your WAEC examination number and ask to check your 2022 WAEC result. There should be someone there that will attend to you and help you check your result.
