Hello World! In this article, I’ll be walking you through a very easy step-by-step approach on how to install Android 13 on Google Pixel Smartphones and some other Android devices that are eligible to run Android 13 right now.

The Android 13 has been in the works for a while now, but it hasn’t been rolled out for most Android devices. But, since Google owns the Pixel Smartphones, all new Android versions tend to get rolled out on them before they release them to their biggest ally – Samsung and then to other Android devices.

For you to be able to install the new Android Pixel device, you need to have a Pixel Four (4) or newer or else you’ll still have to stick with the Android 12 for now or upgrade your Smartphone.

Now, if you need the Android 13 on your device and you do not own a Pixel phone, check the list below to check if your device is one of those that can run the new Android 13 right now.

Which Smartphones Can Run Android 13 Right Now?

The Smartphone devices that have Android 13 right now are – ASUS ZenFone 8, Lenovo P12 Pro (tablet), OnePlus 10 Pro, Oppo Find N, Oppo Find X5 Pro, Realme GT 2 Pro, Sharp Aquos Sense6, Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G, Vivo X80 Pro, Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 (tablet), ZTE Axon 40 Ultra, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro.

How To Install Android 13 on Google Pixel Smartphones

To successfully install Android 13 on your Google Pixel Smartphone, you’ll have to be enrolled in Google’s Android Beta Program. When you enroll, you will not be running a Beta version like some other devices listed above. You’ll be running the “stable” version of Android 13 immediately.

  • Go to the Android Beta Program Website on your device with your web browser and make sure you’re logged into a Google account on your device.
  • On the top of the page, you should see an option that says “See Eligible Devices.” Click on that, and then the page will automatically scroll to the bottom, and you should see your Pixel Device
  • Now, click on the “Opt-in” button the join the Beta program. Now, you’ll see a box that prompts you to accept all terms and conditions of joining the Android Beta Program.
  • Click on “Confirm.” and then, Enroll.

Install the Android 13 Update

Now that you’ve enrolled in the Beta Program with your Smartphone;

  • Head to the “Settings” app on your phone.
  • Scroll down to “System”
  • Click on “System” and then “System Update”
  • You should now see the Android 13 Update. Click on “Install.”

Exit the Android Beta Program

After installing the Android 13 update on your device, you can now go back to the Android Beta Program Website and click on the “Opt-Out” button to exit the program.

Google warns that if you are presently using the beta version of the Android 13 and quit the testing program, your phone will receive an upgrade that will delete its data and return it to a stable build.

However, because the version of Android 13 you have just installed is already the stable build, this will not happen.
